Wilbur “Bill” G. Beauchane, 91, of Agawam, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 30th at the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home. He was predeceased by his wife Betty and his son Michael. Bill will be sadly missed by his sister Beverly Tetreault and her husband Daniel of Agawam; a daughter Karen Palanjian of Agawam; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. At 18 years old Bill joined the Merchant Marines for active duty in WWII. Later he joined the US Navy serving on the USS BRIAEUS during the Korean War. Returning to Agawam, he worked for the Public Works department where he retired. Along with fishing and stamp collecting, he loved playing Keno.
