Victor H. Ragone

EAST LONGMEADOW – Victor H. Ragone, 85, passed away on January 12, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. Born on November 23, 1935 in Springfield, MA to the late Salvatore and Filomena (Summa) Ragone, he graduated from Classical High School.
From 1954 – 1956, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He then served in the United States Coast Guard.
For 30 years, Victor was employed by the United States Postal Service. In his spare time, he enjoyed running in marathons, was an overall great athlete and was a lifetime member of the Y.M.C.A in Springfield. He also loved reading, especially history books and loved classical music and attending performances at Tanglewood.
Victor will be fondly remembered by his family for his great sense of humor.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings Joseph Ragone and Theresa Nadeau and his nephew Rocky Ragone. To cherish his memory, Victor leaves his sister Rose Toti; his many nieces and nephews as well as his friends at the Post Office and Y.M.C.A.
Funeral services will be private for the family have been entrusted to Forastiere Smith Funeral Home.
