Sandra Theresa Carey

Sanrda Theresa (Caron) Marion-Carey, 80, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2020, after a battle with Alzheimer’s. She was the daughter of the late Virginia and Lucien Caron. She married her love of her life Paul Leo Marion and together they owned and operated Country Pine Furniture Shop in Hampden. In 1993, Sandra married Walter H. Carey III. Together, they shared a love of photography, gardening, and trips around New England. Sandra will be sadly missed by her husband Walter H. Carey III, her Son Michael J. Marion and his wife JoAnn, her Daughter Julie A. Kotori, her brother Stuart Caron, Her sisters Sherry Anderson and Sally Thomas as well as four Grandchildren. She leaves behind many extended family and friends. The family would like to extend their appreciation to all of her caretakers that helped her along her journey. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Family and friend are invited to gather at the Forastiere Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday October 28th from 11am-1pm for a period of visitation. A funeral home service will begin at 1pm. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Hampden.
