Ronald Anthony Piteo

Ronald A. Piteo, 74, passed away on May 1, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield, MA on November 26, 1946, he was the son of the late Joseph Piteo, Sr. and Margaret M. (Walsh) Piteo.
He had worked at numerous bars and lounges in the Springfield area. He also coached youth baseball for many years in Springfield. Ron had a lifelong love affair with the New York Yankees, New York Giants and Notre Dame.
To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife Catherine (Swain) Piteo of West Springfield; his brothers Joseph & Maryann Piteo of E. Longmeadow, Randy & Elizabeth Piteo of Springfield. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Piteo in 2020. Sons Mario Piteo, Carmino Piteo and Antonio Piteo all of FL. Stepdaughters Paula Donofrio and Melissa Thresher of West Springfield. His grandchildren Joseph Piteo, Vincent Piteo & Maximiliano Piteo of FL. Nicholas Pistolesi & Joseph Maratea of West Springfield; many dear cousins, nieces and nephews as well as his Aunts Terry Walsh of Agawam and Joyce Piteo of NY.

There will be no calling hours. Burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery for family and friends will be held on Saturday May 8, 2021 at 10:00am.
