Obituary

Ralph T. Gamelli, 86, of Agawam, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at the Soldiers Home in Holyoke. He was the beloved husband of 51 years to the late Joanne (Bruno) Gamelli. Ralph was born in Springfield on July 20, 1933 and was the son of the late Raffaele and Rose (Furlani) Gamelli. After graduating from Technical High School in 1951, he studied TV repair at Springfield Trade School and then served in the Army during the Korean War in 1953. After leaving the Army he went to work for his family business at Gamelli TV & Appliance, which he later owned for over 40 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and was an avid golfer. Father of Ralph Gamelli of Agawam, John Gamelli of Agawam and Steven (Jeniffer) Gamelli of Charlton, MA. He is also survived by two granddaughter’s Grace and Hanna Gamelli, sister Marilyn Colby, brother-in-law Frank Bruno, sisters-in-law Betty D’Agostino, Joan Gamelli and Marge Bruno plus many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife he was predeceased by his brother William, his Uncle Tommy Gamelli and brother-in-law Frank D’Agostino, Michael Bruno and Gordon Colby. Arrangements are entrusted to Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St, Agawam. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Springfield with a committal service to follow at Mass Veterans Cemetery in Agawam. ALL FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS WILL BE SCHEDULED AT A LATER DATE.
