Obituary

Kevin O’ Keefe, 53, a resident of Agawam for most of his life, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, surrounded by his wife and three children after a courageous battle against cancer. Mr. O’ Keefe was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on October 28, 1966 and was the oldest of three children born to the late Thomas O’ Keefe and Carol Gee. He graduated from Agawam High School in 1984 where he played football and baseball, and attended Suffield Academy from 1984 to 1985 before attending North Adams State University where he was a fraternity member of Pi Upsilon Pi. He worked as a dealer relations manager at Americredit/GM Financial in Southboro, MA for several years. Mr. O’Keefe was an avid fisherman and could often be found casting a line at any number of rivers, lakes, or ponds in the area. He also enjoyed fitness, baseball, New England Patriots football, 80’s music, spending football Sundays with family at his brother Jeff’s house, and taking drives to nowhere in particular with his wife of nearly two years, Kim. Kevin and Kim grew up just a few hundreds yards from each other in Agawam and played together as children before reconnecting just a few short years ago.

He leaves his wife, Kimberley (nee Brock) O’Keefe of Agawam, his three children, Ashley Erin O’Keefe of Alpharetta, GA; Patrick William O’Keefe and his girlfriend Julia Lesser of Costa Mesa, CA; and Kian Robert O’Keefe of Agawam. He also leaves his brother Jeffrey O’ Keefe and his wife Donna of Agawam; his sister, Shannon O’Keefe Fitzgerald and her husband Steven of Agawam; and his mother Carol Gee and his stepfather Edward Gee of Falmouth. He also leaves his grandchildren: Brayden Thomas O’Keefe; Alice Lehrer, and Ana “Charlie” Lehrer. Mr. O’Keefe had three stepchildren, Adam Lehrer of Queens, NY; Evan Lehrer, of
Sandwich, MA and Meghan Lehrer Boudreau of Sandwich. He also leaves his beloved nieces and nephews Sydney and Mathew O’Keefe and Tessa and Nicholas Fitzgerald; in addition to numerous cousins other loving relatives and friends.
