Tribute

The family of Kevin S. Keet announces his passing on Thursday, October 7, 2021 after a three year journey with Leukemia. He will be remembered for his amazing personality of putting everyone first, and doing anything he can to help others or solve a problem. His ability and tenacity to fix things, always finding a solution, is a trait that will be admired forever. Kevin was a big kid at heart, where Disney was one of his favorite places to visit with his family, making sure every park and adventure was part of the itinerary. He loved to travel and cherished the family trips and the annual visits to Maine. He enjoyed social gatherings with friends and family and his solitude riding his motorcycle. Kevin had many interests while being part of a volleyball league, bowling league, golf league, watching sports, vineyard trips with friends, and tinkering with his many toys. He was a dedicated and hard worker to Tyler Equipment for 35 years, where he was a heavy equipment mechanic. The relationship and friendships he made at Tyler became an important part of his life, and the mutual support he received from the team and the support he continued to give the company were immensely important to Kevin and will forever be cherished by his family.

Kevin was born in Springfield on June 10, 1968, and is the son of Betty (Yost) and William H. Keet, Jr. He graduated from Putnam High School and soon started to work for Tyler Equipment. He met the love of his life, Beth A. (Scott) Keet when they were fifteen and they were married for 29 years. Besides his wife and parents, Kevin is survived by his adored children, his daughter Kaitlin and her husband Zach Perkins of East Longmeadow, and his son TJ Keet of East Longmeadow; his brother Thomas Keet and his wife Mary of Maryland, his mother and father-in-law Judith and William Scott of East Longmeadow, and his brother-in-law Bill Scott and his wife Maribeth of Southampton.

The family would like to especially thank the doctors and staff at Baystate Oncology and at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for the wonderful care and support they provided.

To celebrate Kevin’s life visiting hours will be on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 4:30-7:30pm, with a ceremony of sharing at 7:30pm at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation on 220 N. Main Street in East Longmeadow. His burial will be private in Springfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston MA 02284, or via www.dana-farber.org/gift.
