Obituary

Judith Ann (Longey) Martin, 75, of Hampden, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. Born to the late Floyd and Leona Longey in Springfield, MA., she was raised and spent most of her life in Agawam, making many friends along the way.
Judy loved taking road trips to the beaches, especially Misquamicut, Ogunquit, and Scarsborough, always trying to find as many lighthouses as she could. She loved to stop off at Foxwoods Casino on her way back from trips to try her luck. She enjoyed going to Burlingame Campground with her family for a few weeks in the summer – her favorite part being the conversations and time spent together. Even though she couldn't always be with them, she would make her rounds daily calling all the kids. Judy liked to collect rocks on the Mohawk Trail and shells at the beach; she loved to read books, assemble puzzles, and watch Hallmark movies with her daughter, Sandra and grandaughter, Teagan.
Let’s not forget Judy’s second home: Walmart! She worked there for over 20 years in Westfield, making many work friends. Even when she wasn’t working, she found herself visiting the store every weekend. She loved her shoes and pocketbooks and felt she needed a new one every month or so. Our Judy loved stuff and knickknacks. They all held some special meaning and she loved to display them in eyesight of where she was. Everywhere in her home held some item or photo of a special memory. She will be missed by so many and always loved.
Judy was predeceased by her father, Floyd Longey, mother, Leona Flannery, sister, Geraldine Giguere, and brother Richard Longey.
She is survived by her loving husband Richard E. Guilbert of 27 years; children Susan J Henry (Eric) of Illinois, Sandra Swanger (Vincent) of Hampden, MA., Robert D. Martin, Jr. (Jamie) of Falmouth, ME. Christopher D. Martin (Amanda) of Las Vegas, NV., Christina E. Klaubert (Jeff) of Thornton, NH., Matthew E.
