Jose Cadiz

SPRINGFIELD – Jose G. Cadiz, 65, passed away on April 7, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Guayama, Puerto Rico on May 22, 1955, he was the son of the late Octavio Sanchez Cadiz and Saturnina Reyes Cadiz.
 
For many years, he had worked as a carpenter. Jose enjoyed fishing and most importantly, spending time with his family, laughter and a good meal.
 
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Octavio Cadiz, Eric Cadiz, and Carlos Cadiz.
 
To cherish his memory, Jose leaves his children Loraida Cadiz Steinberger, Wanda Cadiz Medina, Jessica Cadiz Vega, Jose Gilberto Cadiz, Jose Javier Cadiz, Julio Cesar  Cadiz, Joshua Jovani Cadiz and their mothers Jennie Castro and Decar Disla; his grandchildren Ahmani Jose Roman, Jadin William Vega, Leo Moses Steinberger, Jeshua Carlos Medina, Isabel Reyna Cadiz, Gabriel Mateo Cadiz, Jemma Belle Cadiz and Jessa Jewels Cadiz; his siblings Elba Cadiz, Oscar Cádiz, Jesus Manuel Cádiz, Carmen Cádiz, Haydee Cádiz, Héctor Cádiz, David Cádiz, Luis Alberto Cádiz, Jorge Cádiz, and Deogracio Cádiz as well as many extended family members. 
 
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, April 16, 2020 from 10 AM – 12 Noon at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow, MA followed by a service at 12 Noon. Burial with a limited capacity of people allowed will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bay Street, Springfield.
