Isabella C. Grimaldi

East Longmeadow- Isabella (Salemona) Grimaldi died peacefully on October 20, 2019 at CareOne Redstone. Isabella was born in Thompsonville CT on May 24, 1923 to the late Salvatore and Carmella (Abati) Salemona. Isabella married the love of her life Lorenzo in 1948 and raised 4 wonderful children. She loved gardening and she harvested food and canned it herself. Isabella loved her children and enjoyed spending holidays with her family. She will be remembered for her engaging smile, gentile spirit, and her patriotism. She is deeply missed by her children; Albert and his wife, Susan, of East Longmeadow, Elizabeth Grimaldi Rogers of West Springfield, Lawrence and his fiancé Terry of Agawam, and Thomas of Agawam; many brothers, sisters, grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, Aiden. The family thanks the CareOne @ Redstone Nurses, PT staff, Activities Director & Supporting Staff at Buckingham for all the wonderful care they provided Isabella. Family and friends are invited to gather Wednesday October 23, 2019 from 4-8pm in the Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main Street, Agawam MA. A calling hour will be held Thursday October 24, 2019 from 9-10am with a funeral service to follow at 10am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Agawam Center Cemetery, Agawam MA.
