Genevieve M. Girard Patrie

East Longmeadow- Genevieve “Chickie” M. (Liquori) Girard Patrie 83, passed away on January 20, 2020; surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Chicopee on May 28, 1936 she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Katherine (Walczak) Liquori.
Prior to her retirement, Genevieve was employed by the Springfield City School Luncheon Dept., Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Agawam, and Western New England College, Springfield.
Genevieve was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church, East Longmeadow.
Genevieve was predeceased by her first husband, Francis Girard; and her second husband, Antoine Patrie; a son, Joseph Girard; a sister, Mary Mazza, a brother, Pasquale Liquori and a grandson, Michael Girard.
She is survived by her six daughters, Kathleen Gamache and her husband Alfred, of East Longmeadow, Theresa Girard- LaRace and her husband Terrence, of Springfield, Debbie Pafumi and her partner David Casali, of East Longmeadow, Cynthia Girard of Springfield, Mary McCormack of Suffield, CT, Fran Oliveira and her husband Robert, of Ludlow; nine grandchildren, Dawn Plouffe , Christopher Girard, Angela DiLisio , Vinnie Pafumi, Dylan Auger, Paige Auger, Connor McCormack, Alfred Gamache Jr., Nicole St. Hilaire and eight great grand children ; and extended family and friends
Calling hours are from 4:00PM-7:00PM on Thursday (January 23,2020) in the Forastiere Smith Family Funeral Home, 220 North Main St. , East Longmeadow. Funeral services begin Friday (January 24, 2020) at 10:15AM in the funeral home. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30AM in St. Michael’s Church, 128 Maple St., East Longmeadow. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 393 Maple St., Springfield, MA 01105. www.forastiere.com
