Genevieve Cordis

Genevieve (Conatser) Cordis, 94, of Longmeadow, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Bay State Medical Center. She was surrounded by loved ones. She was the beloved wife of the last 13 years to Douglas F. Cordis. Genevieve was born in Truman, Arkansas on October 25, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Ruben and Rosa (Lee) Conatser. Growing up on the family’s cotton farm and later retiring from Klip Scan as a quality inspector. Genevieve developed a great talent for painting playing golf and bowling for the better part of her 94 years on earth. Over the last 13 years "honey bunny" as she was often referred to by her husband enjoyed going to car shows, watching golf, football and auto racing. Mother of Patricia (Michael) Barber of Venice, FL and step-son Scott (Andrea) Cordis of Wilbraham, MA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Catherine Larson, grandsons Raymond & Richard Freniere and 8 brothers and sisters. Friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 10:45 am for a graveside service at Longmeadow Cemetery in Longmeadow. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choosing. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
