Anthony Panetta

Hampden – Anthony Panetta, 61, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and dear friend passed away on July 11, 2018.  He was born in Springfield the son of Frank A. Panetta and the late Roberta (Johnson) Panetta and was a 1975 graduate of Minnechaug High School.  Anthony was co-owner with his father Frank, of Hampden Sign Corp.; a family business that was his passion for over 35 years. He also enjoyed his prized car and his many fish. Most of all Anthony will be remembered as a loving caring family man and a wonderful friend to many.  He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Denise (Niquette) Panetta; his sons, Anthony F. and Jake Panetta both of Dracut; his father Frank A. Panetta of Hampden; his sister, Debbie Curran and her husband Allan of Springfield and their children Kimberly Baillargeon and Jeffrey Curran; his mother-in-law, Ann Albert of Springfield; several nieces and nephews; his extended family; and all his close friends.  Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, July 15th from 2-6PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow.  Anthony’s service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, July 16th at 12PM.  Burial will follow in Old Cemetery in Hampden.
