Allan Leslie Hutchinson

WEST SPRINGFIELD – Allan Leslie Hutchinson, 67, passed away on April 11, 2021 at Heritage Hall South in Agawam. Born in Springfield, MA on January 14, 1954, he was the son of the late Alvord O. and Sylvia A. (Sexton) Hutchinson.

Allan received his Associate’s Degree (Medical Laboratory Technician) from Springfield Technical College in 1988, his Bachelor’s Degree (Biology) from Westfield State College in 1991 and a Certificate (Electrical Robotics) from Springfield Technical Community College in 1998.

He had worked as a Quality Control Inspector from 1985-1987 and a Medical Technologist at Baystate Reference Laboratories from 1987 – 2001. From 2001 on, Allan became an Independent Contractor for the State of Massachusetts, caring for his wife Maria.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by Maria A. (Barry) Hutchinson. To cherish his memory, he leaves his brother Donald C. Hutchinson and his wife Donna of Feeding Hills; his sister Darlene A. Renaud of Easthampton, MA as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 1 PM at Agawam Center Cemetery, Main Street, Agawam. Colonial Forastiere Funeral & Cremation is assisting the family.
