Agnes M Ricco

SPRINGFIELD – Agnes M. Ricco, 81, sadly passed away on October 15, 2019. Agnes was born on November 14, 1937 in Springfield, MA to the late Carmello and Mary (Ferreri) Scordino. She was locally educated, graduating from Springfield Technical High school, and later pursuing her Associates Degree from Bay Path University. She was a firm believer in education and went on to work as a Teacher’s Aide for the Springfield Public School System, particularly Kiley Middle School. She coached basketball during her time at Kiley, and was also an active member of the Italian Cultural Center of Western Massachusetts, and an avid Red Sox fan. To cherish her memory she leaves her beloved son Paul J. Ricco; brother Vincent Scordino and his wife Margaret; as well as many nieces and nephews. Agnes was predeceased by her parents, as well as the love of her life Arno “Chuck” F. Ricco. Family and friends are invited to gather October 18 from 4-7PM at the Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., East Longmeadow, MA.
