We are happy to announce that we will host a second Grief Book Club, beginning in May.

The book we have selected is titled, It's OK That You're Not OK by Megan Devine. This book comes highly recommended with wonderful reviews.

The book club is informal, and we will break down the chapters each week that we will discuss. We do ask that you register as this helps us to prepare and stay connected while we dive into this book together.

We will meet 4 times for this book, at Forastiere Smith, 220 North Main St. East Longmeadow, MA from 6:30pm - 8pm. Doors will open at 6:15 if you want to come in, grab a water or coffee and mingle before we begin.

Holiday Remembrance Ceremony 2023

site image

On December 6th and December 7th, we held our annual Holiday Remembrance Ceremony. Both nights were filling reflection, love and peace. This year, each person being remembered had an ornament with their photo in it. Their name was called and then their family placed the ornament on our Remembrance Tree, then lit a candle in their memory. After everyone was called, we had music playing along with a video of everyone being remembered. One comment made after the ceremony, "The event was so personal but yet so much a community feel. All the people in that room had a story that they held deep in their core, and I felt a piece of that."

We appreciate being a part of your healing journey. When we say that we are here for you, we truly mean it. Thank you to the families who came out, we hope this holiday season is filled with peace, comfort and memories that bring a smile to your face.

Toys for Tots 2023

Forastiere is happy to partner with the Western Mass Toys for Tots program again this year. During the month of November we collected new and unwrapped toys at all four of our locations. We would like to thank all the staff and community members who contributed. This was a huge success!
